THIS AUCTION IS FOR A RED SVO MUSTANG WITH THE TURBOCHARGED, INTERCOOLED, 4 CYL.SOHC ENGINE The SVO was based on the standard Mustang body but used little else. The suspension was drastically redesigned, with front and rear Koni adjustable gas shocks, higher rate springs, and higher rate sway bars front and rear. Plus the front A-arms were lighter and repositioned for better handling. The addition of rear disc brakes produced more swept area than the GT for better braking, and wider , lighter aluminum wheels increased handling as well. All SVO's came with the traction-Lok differential, and unlike the regular Mustangs, the SVO came with a 140 MPH speedometer. For the exterior the car has aerodynamic spates in front of the rear wheels, Marchel driving lights and a unique bi-wing for high speed stability. The spats and spoilers are fragile and have been removed from the car but I do have these parts, they are in good condition. The interior is in good to very good condition. The seats are not ripped or torn. The rubber door seals and window seals need to be replaced and are inexpensive and available. The paint is faded and should be repainted, but there are no dents and I don't think the car was ever wrecked. There are paint chips on the hood and bumper. I have a replacement trunk lid from another SVO to replace the one on the car that has some rust. This car would be an easy.profitable restoration for someone with the time and skill. There were only about 3500 SVO's built is '86 making it a contemporary classic and rather rare. As a daily driver this car got about 30/MPG and that is an important feature if you plan to drive the car now that gas is approaching $4.00/Gal. VIN #1FABP28T66F168883
