liv4today store RARE! 1952 STUDEBAKER COMMANDER STARLINER HARDTOP The newly designed hardtop carried the smart style of the convertible, but had the all-weather comfort of the closed car. This Commander Hardtop has the original 232 - V8 engine, auto transmission and tinted glass with the very unique roofline. It is a solid example that was last licensed and driven in 1972, then put into storage. The 1952 was the year Studebaker celebrated its 100th anniversary. This car comes from our private collection. It is a great car to restore. Vehicle Description: You are bidding on a rare 1952 Studebaker Commander Starliner 2 door hardtop. 1952 Studebaker Commander Starliner Hardtop with its original 232 V8 engine and auto transmission. A very nice solid original car for restoration. The front windshield and all the windows are crack free. Nice doors, floors, trunk, hood and trunk lid. (Front floors has some surface rust) Front grille is in nice shape because previous owner removed and stored it in the trunk. Original paint, interior, engine, transmission as well as the paint in the trunk. Chrome and trim will need to be re-chromed. The car front and back seats are solid with original upholstery. The car was driven and parked back in 1972 when it was placed in storage. We have not done anything with the car. We have not soaked the cylinders or attempt to start the engine.
