1980 Honda CB

Original, unmolested 1980 Honda CB750K with 17,377 miles! This is a great bike for restoration or as a base for a custom project. I bought it 6 years ago here on Ebay without specific plans. I rode it regularly up until 18 months ago. I made the decision to use it for a cafe racer so it was parked that fall. I did not run it over the winter because of these plans. Now I have too many projects and have accepted that I won't be able to get to this project for a while so I am going to sell it. This bike has obviously been well taken care of its whole life. I cannot see any modifications or alterations made to it. It has no major flaws; just the usual wear you would expect on a 30 year old bike. One or two of the plastic tabs on the side covers are broken but they hold securely. There are no dings or dents in the tank. It ran extremely well when parked with no hesitation or gaps in the power band. I am confident it will only take a fresh charge/battery and the cleaning/synching of the carbs to get it running well. The choke, clutch, brakes, etc... all worked properly when it was parked. Some of the chrome has rust spots - in the expected spots like the headlight bracket and exhaust ring clamps. All the rust looks superficial which I think the pictures show. I will consider delivery within 200 miles of 62301 for an agreed-upon price or you can pick it up here. For any long-distance shipping I am happy to assist but you will need to make your arrangements and pay for it yourself. I require a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The balance can be paid with Paypal if shipping or cash if you're picking the bike up. I have tried to be as accurate and complete as possible and the pictures tell the rest. On Mar-26-13 at 07:32:20 PDT, seller added the following information:I want to clarify the model of this bike. An "expert" said it was a CB750K when I first bought the bike so I have always thought it so. I listed it as such. I was reviewing the pictures and noticed on the manufacturer's tag that it is a CB750C model. So, it is a "C" model and not a "K" model. I don't know the precise differences between the two so I cannot speak to the desirability of one over the other. If anyone has bid based upon the incorrect designation and desires to retract their bid I understand. I apologize for the confusion.
