ENJOY LIFE! DRIVE A CONVERTIBLE!! Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this pretty Red 1978 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. This is the perfect daily driver! If you have ever owned or driven one of these neat little cars you know what fun they are to drive! Just running errands is a blast! And a top-down ride on a beautiful spring day is pure pleasure! (Sorry to all you folks snowed in back east but it’s spring in California!) This little Beetle runs and drives great. Every body piece on the car, fenders, doors, hood and bumpers are the original factory German pieces. There are no "aftermarket" pieces at all. It received a full restoration in 2000, with new paint, new top, top pads and headliner (over $2500!), rebuilt motor, and so much more. As the restoration is now 13 years old, there are some nicks, scratches, dents and touched up places, but it still shines and looks very nice. All the windows go up and down like they are supposed to and don't rattle! Everything works as it should - all lights, signals, horn, wipers. New tires 500 miles ago. The motor has just received a full service. The car has spent much of its life in San Francisco, so it does have the usual rust. But the worst place for rust, under the battery, has been replaced. This car has been taken very good care of, being used as a daily driver for the last three years. As you can see by the pictures this is a car that you will be very proud to own. Take it to your local "Bug In" and watch people admire it. It is getting harder and harder to find nice "original" Convertibles. There are a lot of "put-together" ones, ones where you are actually driving "many" Bugs at once. This car is not that way. Interior is in very good condition, the dash has a cover so looks like new. What else can you buy with the history and reliability of the Volkswagen Beetle? And as an added bonus they're fun! Bidding starts at a very modest $2500 and there is NO RESERVE!!!!
