Fresh from the Washington Palouse wheat country and up for auction is this 1973 Custom Deluxe, C10 Half Ton, 2wd Suburban. This classic Suburban is very straight and sports its original two tone paint. A smooth running, great sounding, period correct, small block 350 Chevrolet motor with aluminium intake, 4 barrel carb., headers and stainless steel exhaust replace the original 454 which helps the mpgs. The 42xxx milage reported to be original, but is not documented, is very believable as you cruise straight down the road with no shimmy or shake and very few rattles. The vehicle runs, drives and stops as it should. Needs: The tilt steering column functions but needs to be rebuilt. The windshield needs to be replaced - all other glass is good. The front bench seat needs to be upolstered - second row 60/40 bench is like new, headliner needs to be replaced. Needs shocks. Has typical rust in lower quarters and doors. This very cool vintage SUV would make an excellent tow rig for your show car or truck or would be an awesome rig to tow that vintage flat bottow boat, RV or just load up the family and cruise. Great foundation for a very unique and rare custom tow vehicle that can be enjoyed as is (runs and drives great) while you continue customizing.
