My loss is your gain! This vette needs to be restored. I bought this vehicle on ebay for 4650.00 with the intent of fully restoring it. If you are looking at Corvettes then you know there is nothing cheap about their restoration expenses. Unfortunately my eyes are bigger than my wallet! With that said, this Vette will make an awesome daily driver with just a few repairs. The Good: Body and Frame are in good condition, no dents or rust. Rims are factory and polished, tires have lots of tread but have lost air over the past few months. Numbers are matching and the automatic transmition shifts smoothly. Interior seats are in good condition and are a popular black exterior with a silver leather interior. The Bad: Black shinny paint with a few blemishes and the normal nose chips. I could use a paint job i think. Needs a good tune-up and sounds like there is an exhaust leak. Blue smoke initially on easy start up that clears. Brakes look good from the outside looking in however there is a fluid leak. I traced another leak to the power steering hose; however the vehicle steers fine. Drivers seat has a tear along the stitching that will need repair or replacement. Carpeting is salvageable but faded. Battery and storage compartment doors need to be replaced. Steering wheel looks good because its covered but the original wheel is sun damaged. Horn not working. These repairs could be knocked out in a day with the knowledge and proper tools of which I don't have. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns.
