Up for auction is my 1967 Buick Skylark 4 door hardtop. Some people refer to this model as the “mini-Electra”. I’ve owned this car for almost 20 years. It is an all original CA car that still has its original paint, original interior and numbers matching all original drivetrain. It was my daily driver for about six years when I first got it and then it’s been in storage ever since. As much as I would like to restore her I am losing my storage and need to find her a new home. The engine runs and starts but is pretty tired and shows signs it needs attention. It idles nicely and has no trouble driving around the neighborhood, but at this point I would be hesitant to drive her at freeway speeds. The odometer reads 90K but most likely it has turned over once. Power brakes with drum brakes in the rear and front discs (retro-fitted). The transmission is a two speed automatic that shifts smoothly after it warms up, but could use new seals. The body is virtually rust free with no bondo, but has some dents, scrapes and dings all from the 95 year old “Little Old Lady” original owner. The paint is all original but faded and oxidized. The pictures tell the story. There is no rust at all in fenders, the lower quarter panels, doglegs or door jams. The trunk floor has some mild surface rust under the mat, but no holes and is not rusted through. The frame and floors are all completely solid. The interior is all original and very clean. The dash is perfect with no cracks. Door panels are all original with no rips or tears. The seats are almost perfect with just a small tear by the power seat switch. Some of the decorative stitching is separating, but the seams are good and the embossing shows well. The wheels are original chrome Buick 14” road wheels with the proper offset and repro Skylark red centercaps. Tires are old and should be replaced. There are not very many of these left and she has a lot of potential and still turns peoples heads when she goes down the road.
