I have owned this 1969 Datsun 2000 since 1974. In the 80's I had the engine rebuilt which included remanufactured head, new pistons/rings/rod and main bearings, jackshaft and bearings, oil pump, distributor/ new SU carbureators, clutch and pressure plate and bearing. Had to replace the 4th gear sleeve (I think that was what it is called) because it wouldn't go into 4th gear after I let a friend drive it. Then, it started popping out of 5th gear. I cracked the windshield installing a dash cap, but the dash looks great. I drove this car 25,514 miles after it was rebuilt and have had to replace the top chain. I sent the car to Great Falls to get it repaired and drove it back home. The tow in somehow is off and it kept stalling on me. I got it home and parked it in the garage where it has set since 1990. I was going to get it running awhile ago and noticed the top chain tensioner is broken as well as the chain guide. Obviously the mechanic didn't replace them, and that was in 1990. I haven't started the car since that time. It had gas in the tank which will now require being cleaned, along with the fuel lines and carb's. The tac broke but I bought a used replacement thinking I was going to get it running. The body has some dents in the right rear fender and the trunk, and on the passenger side where the fender meets the door. (I kissed my grandfather's car.) It is also starting to show some rust. I also had new tail lights installed back then. The drivers seat shows some wear and the stitching has split. The rest of the interior is good. It needs tires and will have to be hauled. The buyer will have to arrange for shipping, as I can't offer that. This car is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY.
