Up for auction is my 96 Chevrolet Astro LT. I bought this van from the original owner in 2002. He special ordered this van in 96 to replace his wrecked 95 Astro. This has the relatively rare LT optional seats. Both rear row seats have two individual buckets that recline. The center is either a cupholder or folds up as an additional seat. Most Astro vans have the straight bench seat with crummy fabric. These have the "plush" feel to them. I've never seen another Astro with these seats in cloth. When I was looking for this van, I did see a few GMC Safaris that had these seats in leather. I believe that the cloth has held up better than leather would have. There are no rips, tears, or major stains in any of the seats. One of the things that I really like is that both seat rows can be removed and you can fit a 4'x8' sheet of plywood inside the van. The original owner of the van was not a smoker, and it hasn't been smoked in since I've owned it. The first owner used it primarily for family trips to California from St Louis, not as regular transportation. The first few years I had the van I used it for daily transport, but the rest of the time, it has been secondary transportation. Last year my wife got rid of her old truck and got a newer one. Since then, we haven't used the van much. As a result, it is time to sell. Its not a new van, its not perfect, but it is in good shape. This van has been very reliable, we took it on a 500 mile trip for the holidays and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again tomorrow. There is minimal rust on the van, the most serious area is on the left rear wheel well. It is the result of a poor repair while the previous owner had the van. There is also some light accident damage on the passenger front door, a few waves in the metal which are shown in one of the pictures. There has been a fair amount of work done on the van over the years, several sets of tires, shocks, fuel pump, water pump, etc. The list of maintenance is below. In the last 5 years, I haven't put many miles on the van per year so some items were done a few years ago but not many miles ago. The only current issue with the van is that the A/C isn't charged. I had it in to the dealer several years ago to have them look at it. They couldn't find the leak so I had them charge it up.
