NO RESERVE AUCTION HISTORY: This 240D was purchased new in Florida. The same family owned it until I bought it in 2011 The car has been well cared for & properly maintained. Just don't drive the car enough to warrant keeping it. EXTERIOR CONDITION: Overall the original paint is in good shape. A couple of dings on the drivers door. The drivers side rear fender is bent up a bit. Original hubcaps are in good shape. 3 of the 4 doors has some rust started @ the bottom. No rust through. ( see pics ) All glass is good. Windshield has a few rock dings, none in drivers view. All windows work properly. Tires are new with 6k on them. INTERIOR CONDITION: For its age interior is in great shape. Nice clean dash, no cracks. Carpet in great shape. Seats still are very comfortable, no rips or tears. The two sunvisors clips are broken off. Door locks work when locking, Only drivers door unlocks. Passanger door map pocket is broken ( missing ) MECHANICS: Everything works. The past yr. Brand new clutch, new battery, new brakes, new thermostat. Converted the A/C to 134R (Blows cold) Very minor oil leak, 2 to 3 drops a day. Never had to add oil between oil changes. Recent oil & fuel filter changed. Good solid motor.Pulls through the gears nice. Great hwy car Likes 75 to 80 mph. SUMMARY: This 240D has alot of life left. It's all about the maintenance. At 197k This car has been well maintained and it shows. Would not hesitate in driving this car across country.If your looking for safe, dependable, econmical transportation, then this legendary 240D is for you.
