1958 Renault 4CV in running and driving condition but its fair to say this car could really benefit from some level of restoration. It was found in Eastern Washington where the arid climate has helped preserve the body, although it looks rough with dents and dings all over, it seems to be fairly solid. There is evidence of rust under the front hood, where the spare tire would sit (see photo). 750 cc water cooled four cylinder Engine starts easily with help from a battery charger, the 6V battery needs to be replaced, finned aluminium valve cover and tubular exhaust headers are a nice touch, motor sounds good when running. 3 speed transmission works well and is quiet, although the non synchro 1st gear makes it tough to shift from 1st to 2nd without a "graunch"brakes work well, tires are old and cracked and definitely need to be replaced. All glass looks good and all four doors line up well and function correctly. Interior is original but quite rough, there are aftermarket seat covers on the front seats. This is a wind up front window model (I believe some 4CV's have sliding front windows) Both the front and rear cover latches work well, the front latches are often broken on these cars.Gauges and lights seem to function correctly although both front turn signals are broken.
