Chrysler Newport You are bidding on a 1968 Chrysler Newport convertible. It is powered by the original (I believe) 383 Magnum. It was restored about 30 years ago and I must say a very amateurish restoration to say the least. The car starts and actually rides and handles great. I do see some minor loss of trans fluid, although is shifts through all 3 gears nicely. I did feel some slippage in passing gear, however that should subside as I put more miles on it. It has been sitting 3 years but has not been driven much in the previous 22 years. The power top works great. The windows are powers but go up and down with a little help. It is a 20 footer to say the least however I believe it is a solid car for cruise nights or great for a restoration. I do NOT see major rust anywhere including engine bay, floor pans and trunk. I have not had it on a lift to see underneath but it looks real solid. The exhaust is fine and the motor runs very quiet with no suspicious noises. It is what it is ! Bid accordingly.
