1978 Lincoln Town Coupe For your consideration is this nice 78 Lincoln Town Coupe with only 53,542 original miles. This car was sold new in Winston-Salem, NC. It was sold to a local man about 12-13 years ago, up until that point it was a garage kept car. The second owner left the car outside while he had it that is when the exterior started to deteriorate. I purchased the car from his son last summer. The car runs and drives excellent; he spent quite a bit of money on the car in the last couple of years. It has all new brakes, exhaust, front end aligned, new radiator, all fluids changed, and several other repairs. I have a stack of receipts that will go with the car. I also have all the original paperwork with the car, owner’s manual, two build sheets, and the window sticker! The original sticker price for this car was $13,886 in 78. It was ordered with the following options: Light Jade metallic Moondust paint, white coach roof, 460 engine, illuminated entry system, headlamp convenience group, tilt wheel, cruise control, AM/FM stereo with quadrasonic 8 track tape player, interval wipers, Town Coupe option, appearance protection group, right hand remote mirror, interior light group, power lock convenience group, wire wheel covers, & premium bodyside molding. I purchased a Marti Report for the car. The statistics for this Lincoln are one of: 17,815 with the Town Coupe package 14,331 with engine/transmission codes 1,020 ordered from this DSO 706 with this paint code 50 with these paint/trim codes The car is in good shape, it needs a paint job and a new vinyl top, I primed some of the bare places, you can see a few places in the lower quarters that are rusty. They are not rusted through yet but will need attention soon. The white leather interior is very impressive. Everything works on the car as it should except for the fuel gauge and the odometer. The odometer quit right after I acquired the car, it might have 100 miles more than it is showing now. I installed the factory alum. Wheels, the tires were new but are old and I would not trust them to drive very far. Those are the only major defects that I am aware of with this rare Lincoln. These cars have gotten scarce and this one is very well equipped. It also has the sought after 460, the last year it was available in a Lincoln. This car rides and drives like a dream with new tires I wouldn’t be afraid to drive it anywhere. A $250.00 deposit is due within 24 hours via Pay Pal. The balance is payable in cash, cashier’s check or money order within 10 days of sale date. Title is clear and in my name it will be handed over to the new owner after car has been paid for and funds have cleared. I would prefer the car picked up in two weeks but will work with the new buyer if more time is needed. If you are not serious please don’t bid! I am selling this car to the US and Canada only!
