Vehicle Detail

All Original 1967 Volkswagen VW Beetle, 1 Owner, Barn Find! Here we have for sale an all original 1967 Volkswagen VW beetle. This is an amazing 1 owner car. I pulled this out of a barn where it was sitting for all this time. I bought this bug from the original owner who bought this car brand new in 1967 in northern California. This is an amazing original 1967 volkswagen that runs great. The 1967 is the most collectible 60's bug. This bug is an early production 1967. The original Lotus White paint is nice. It is worn through in a few areas around the bug, its got an awesome weathered patina looks that only time can create. The wheels are original paint, the chrome bumpers are all unrestored original. The tires are even old Sears mud and snow tires. This is one of the cleanest rust free beetles I have ever seen. The pan on this bug is amazing. The car had dealer undercoat applied on it and that was a good thing. It perfectly preserved the paint on this inside of the fenders, and the pan underneight the car. The front beam and all front suspension components are all original black paint. I put oem style tan running board mats on the original German running boards. That is correct for a Lotus White 1967 bug. It even has the original 1500cc german engine that runs like a charm. I have driven my share of old bugs and this bug runs incredible. Its more powerful then any 1,600cc I have ever driven. The engine compartment is all original unrestored. There is still all of the original tar board insulation lining the engine compartment. I replaced the fuel pump with an aftermarket one, but I still have the original pump that I will included. It would be an excellent candidate to rebuild and replace so the engine would look 100% original. The original 4 speed manual transmission shifts perfect with no grinds or anything. It does not pop out of gear or do anything it is not supposed to. A really cool feature the original owner put on the car is a short shift kit. Possibly an original EMPI? I am not sure. The car has all original windows. The trunk of the car is really clean too. The original cardboard liner is intact. I replaced the wire cover with an oem style cardboard cover. The original spare, jack and all washer bottle, brake fluid bottle are intact. Look how clean the paint is in there! The VIN plate is perfect. The interior of the bug was redone. The seats were professionally reupholstered by an auto upholsterer in town. All original style components were used, i.e., rubber floor mats, same color of the original carpet. The bug still has the original headliner in it! There are little issues with it here and there by the rear window but nothing even major. The interior still has the original 1967 vw seat belts. There is even a perfect working original Sapphire V AM radio. The radio works great and sounds perfect. Great for cruising around town. I kept the old Richfield oil gas station trash bag hanging from the hood release knob. I thought that was cool to leave with the car. The original 1967 only 2 speed wipers still work. The 12V original sticker is still inplace on the body. I wanted to keep the original unrestored "patina" look on the exterior and only use the correct parts to replace the old original parts. Anything on the interior that got replaced, was replaced with the correct oem part and done by a professional. The rubber is old and original on the bug but still does the job! I have a clean and clear title for the bug. The exterior of the bug has a couple minor little dings, nothing major. The passenger side of the bug has some cracks in the paint. It saw more sunlight in its life on that side. The interior dash is nice and the ask tray has some chips in the paint. The original vw steering wheel has some hairline cracks in it. The wolfsburg hurn button has a couple of chips on the bottom of it. There is a tiny chip in the front windshield too. I just want to disclose some of the flaws of the original bug. Its not perfect but thats what gives it character! There is surface rust on the heater boxes and exhaust just because they are raw metal and just from over the years of weather but thats it. This is an incredible original 1967 Volkswagen that I hope somebody can enjoy. I can store the bug for an appropriate amount of time so the buyer can work out shipping. Please call me with any and all questions you might have before bidding on the bug. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
