Up for sale is my grandfather's 1988 Toyota Van. He passed away recently and we have no need for it. It has an original 74k miles on it. It also has had a conversion that allows the two rear seats to fold flat into a full size bed. He stopped driving in 2010 due to multiple health issues so the Van has sat since then. I hooked jumper cables to it and it cranked right up and ran fine. I put the transmission into each gear and it moved without protest so I don't think there are any major mechanical issues. It routinely got 20+ MPG so it would be a great reliable work vehicle or with a little work a camping or travel rig. He did tell me that the A/C wasn't working, I dont know if it just needs a charge or what. It also has a pretty good exhaust leak right around the left rear wheel. While I had it running the radiator warning light came on. It may have a slight water leak somewhere and just needs topped off. It didn't get hot while I had it running. Other than that I think it's in good shape mechanically. It is 25 years old, so it does have some cosmetic issues in the interior, mainly due to the sun and honest wear and tear. I've tried to show them in the pictures. As is typical with older toyotas, it has some rust around the edges, particularly at the bottom of the wheel wells on all 4 wheels. He tried to coat the areas with some kind of black goopy stuff, which didn't keep it from rusting. Sorry for the picture quality, the cold was keeping the camera from focusing properly. I will be glad to take any specific pictures on request. Email with any questions and I'll answer the best I can. Battery is currently dead from sitting but we can put one in it and it will start up. There is a decent amount of rust in the bottoms of the wheel wells. Not sure If it's drivable or not because it's been sitting 2+ years.
