Vehicle Detail

1957 Chevy Bel Air, 4Dr Hardtop No Post, Full Nut & Bolt Frame-Off Restoration. Clear Title on hand. THERE ARE 0 CHINA PARTS ON THIS CAR. I WILL REPEAT THIS: ZERO CHINA PARTS. What you see here is all 100% Original. Every part on this car bears the marks: “GM”, “Chevrolet”, “Delco Remy”, “Harrison”, and so on… We don't like to use any of the so called "Reproduction Parts" in our Shop. We don't like "Chinese Chevys" We always try to restore or obtain a restorable ORIGINAL PART. We will only use a Reproduction part when told to do so by a customer, or when we just don't have any other choice, but for us, that's the last option...!!! If you are looking for a 57 with a new body, and easy to complete at your own taste, this is the car for you, because: This car is the perfect project for the Do-It-Yourselfer. All the difficult work is done. The car was going to be a full blown Resto-Mod, with Disc Brakes, AC, Leather Interior, you name it. It could go in any direction from this point: a) You can turn it into a Resto-Mod, go in the Stock direction, or turned into a Show Piece. All that interior stainless so representative of the Classic Hardtop of the 50’s is there, in top shape. We bolted it with some screws just to hold it in place, since we know it will have to be remove again to do the interior, but it would be a guide for the Do-It-Yourselfer. The Roof Insulation is already installed, we even mounted the Headliner Wires in the correct slots, so the interior work should be a no-brainer. The car has now 4 new 14" Radials. We Trued and Sealed the Original Chevy Wheels to allow the installation of Tubeless Radials. The Steering Wheel has cracks and will need to be restored and painted, the Horn Ring Emblem is not original to the Car, it belongs to a 210, so you'll need a Bel Air Emblem: About 20 dollars. The Windshield is scratched and will need to be replaced. Given the reasons I mention below, we just couldn't complete the car as intended. The last picture shows the car as it came into the Shop, over a year ago. Here is what the car needs for completion: Driveshaft 200.00 Full Interior 1,800.00 Windshield 300.00 Back Bumper 400.00 Re-Chrome Front Bumper 400.00Steering Wheel Restoration/Paint It is impossible to represent the Full Restoration of a Vehicle using only 24 pictures, and eBay will not allow me to upload anymore, so PLEASE, go to YouTube to see a full video containing a whole set of pictures detailing the work done on this car: http://youtu.be/LYPu0f0D99Q The Buy Now price is what the car is really worth at this point, but it is still MUCH LESS of what the owner paid for the car and the cost of this restoration. And... The Reserve Price is also MUCH LESS than the Buy It Now, since it only the balance owed to us, so the car is a steal compared to the money put on it already. The Chevy came into the Shop as a COMPLETE CAR, minus the engine and transmission. The owner got a 350 Small Block and a TH350 that we put on the car. This is one of those vehicles I hate to sell, but I have no choice, and here is why: As the owner ran into financial problems and couldn’t complete the car. As the owner of a 10,000+ S.F. Restoration Shop I am seeing more and more of this kind of problems, when someone with the best intentions just can’t keep his lifestyle and is forced to sell at a lost. You are welcome to come and inspect the car in person, or send your inspector, just give us a call in advance. Please understand that this vehicle is listed as a Restoration Project, not a running car. We do not represent here in any form that this is a running vehicle. This car is sold as is, where it is, meaning that the laws governing this transaction are those of the State of Florida. The buyer is responsible for the cost of transportation of the vehicle. All questions are Welcome! Call us at 305-823-3634. Mon-Fri 10am-5pm. Keep your Chevy ALL CHEVY! Thanks for looking On Feb-24-13 at 11:58:16 PST, seller added the following information: We did this car in our Shop about 2 years ago. The owner saw this car at a local show and purchased the Chevy for us to build it just like this one. This was the kind of Resto-Mod this Chevy was supposed to be. On Feb-24-13 at 12:34:21 PST, seller added the following information: Here are some samples of other Vehicles recently done at the Shop: On Feb-26-13 at 09:41:00 PST, seller added the following information: I keep getting questions about how the Stock (Original) Interior would look like. Here is a short Slide of Stock Interiors we have done in the Shop:
