1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT w/ original 351M/400 V8 engine, 4X4, Automatic transmission. 83,050 miles showing on the 5 digit odometer. I purchased the Bronco almost 2 years ago as a project with the intention to restore it but along came identical twin boys in May of last year. I had the truck shipped from Southern Arizona where it spent all of its life. It's well known that cars/trucks from that area are not laden with rust and that's why I jumped on this '79. The body is very solid with what appears to be minimal body work and rust. I own a repair shop and one of my technicians took the top end of the engine apart in his spare time and to our surprise it was in good shape. We installed a new water pump, replaced some gaskets, & reassembled the engine. A rebuilt carburetor was installed and it starts and runs great. The truck is equipped with factory A/C but compressor is MIA and heater core is bypassed. The front drive shaft is missing as well. The driver side, rear window has a crack as well as does the windshield. One rear view mirror is missing too. The tailgate functions just fine but the tailgate window glass only goes up & down by hand. The original spare tire carrier is included. I removed it but its in the cargo area behind back seat. A used, but great condition original dash pad is included as well that I purchased to replace the existing cracked pad. This Bronco would make a great foundation to restore an American legend.
