Jeep offered a Diesel in the Liberty from 2005 to 2006. Only 12,000 Diesel Liberty's a year were built. Due to EPA's strict emission laws, Chrysler discontinued this option in the USA after 2006. They are still offering this option in Europe. This Jeep is built in Toledo, Ohio. And the Diesel engine was built by VM Motori in Italy.
