Rare Air Conditioning Option If you are looking at this auction, then you know exactly what this model civic can do! This car comes with a D15Z1 “vtec-e” motor mated with the specially designed, taller gears of a VX series P20 transmission for enhanced fuel conservation. There are plenty of websites dedicated to this amazingly fuel-efficient car. (Google these sites: Ecomodders, Gassavers, etc… ) Some owners are managing to get upwards of 60+ MPG’s on these VX models… It took me almost half a year to find a car in this condition. I purchased it from the original owner who was an older woman who broke her hip and could no longer drive a manual transmission, so it literally just sat in her driveway for years. The car has always been a California car and is rust free. This is a very rare example of an all-original VX that was never modified or raced out. For those who have been looking for a Civic VX, this is the 1992 California model with the 5-wire (wide-band oxygen sensor) that was updated to Federal model specifications. The computer was replaced with the 49 state ECU and now runs with the highly sought after “lean burn” technology. It will still pass California emissions with lean burn. California version Civic VX models did not come from the factory with the capability to “lean burn” due to emissions restrictions. As a result, California model VX’s had a lower EPA rating of approximately 6 MPG less than the Federal version Civic VX. ***NOTE*** These Civic VX models did not come with AC when sold new. A factory Honda AC system was added for those HOT Southern California months. Other features include the original Honda factory Enkei wheels that are ultra lightweight for improved fuel mileage A JVC CD player with USB and line-in was also added to the vehicle. This is a rare, very low mileage Civic VX with only 73,000 miles on it. 5 Speed Manual Transmission The car has been FULLY serviced and is ready to save you thousands of dollars on gas.
