1961 PORSCHE JUNIOR DIESEL TRACTOR in the early 1930s Dr Ferdinand Porsche began working on a "peoples tractor" right along side his famous "peoples car" culminating in a range of air cooled tractors of which more than 125'000 had been sold by the time production stopped in 1963, interestingly they were produced in a former Zeppelin factory on Lake Konstanz. This Porsche Junior is the smallest of the line powered by a 822cc single cylinder aircooled diesel engine linked to a ZF transmission with 3 forward speeds, coupled with the hi/lo transfer case this gives you a total of 6 forward and 2 reverse gears.These vehicles were produced between 1952 and 1963. The tractor was restored in Europe some time ago and imported approximately 1 year ago. Although it looks great it is what I would call a "farmhouse restoration" with flaws here and there in the paint and prep work, looks to have been used since being refurbished as well with some chips and dings in the body work here and there. Mechanically it is excellent, we have hade some unusually cold weather here in Washington State lately and the tractor has been easy to start even on the coldest days! The engine runs smoothly and transmission, clutch and brakes all work well.The Hella tail lights look to be new but have not been wired yet, the tires and battery also look to be fairly new.Along with the front and rear hitches it also has a adjustable rear bar for connecting different types of implements.One of the hood latches is missing.please view the attached video of the tractor being driven. Because it is an agricultural vehicle there is no title or registration and will be sold with a bill of sale only.
