That’s an average of only 4000 miles a year its whole life. Most SL’s of this vintage have a lot more miles but this little beauty has been used sparingly all its life. Lovingly cared for and always garaged, it’s in very beautiful condition. The paint looks great, it has hardly any nicks, dents or scratches. All five optional chrome alloy wheels, the spare has never even been out of the trunk. If you have ever owned or driven one of these fine automobiles, you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun, and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for over 30 years, I can tell you this is an extremely nice car. Hard top and Hartz soft top. The soft top is in good condition, it has been stitched up in a couple of places. The interior is very nice, the seats are worn but have lots of padding, and I have just installed a brand new set of genuine sheepskin seat covers. All gauges work including the clock. New Sony stereo with CD player and a port for your iPod. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn-out car then this is the car for you! 139K miles are nothing to a good well-cared-for Mercedes, and it would be hard to find one better cared for than this one. 380 SL’s are my favorite because they are powerful and smooth but will get up to 25mpg! That’s amazing for a car like this. Not a 100 point show car, but a car you will be proud to drive and own. What could be better than a red SL! Drive this beauty for the price of a used Camry.
