No Reserve-Will be sold to the highest bidder!Up for sale is a 2000 Ford Explorer XLS 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this vehicle to be in average condition for the age and mileage of this unit. As you can see, this is a good looking SUV. It is finished in a medium blue with tan interior. The finish on this Explorer shows well for its age. Please expect to find some flaws in the finish, small dings, scratches and scuffs as typical of an older vehicle. Overall, there is no noteworthy damage to report on this one. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. This Explorer is optioned with alloy wheels which are wrapped in a matching set of tires with decent rubber all around. I would rate the interior condition of this Explorer to also be above average for the age and mileage. The interior is generally clean throughout. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The seats show well and are comfortable throughout. This Explorer is optioned with power windows, locks and mirrors. The climate control system appears to be in proper working condition. The stereo sounds good, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Now onto the bad, mechanically the transmission has been acting up. It takes a second or two for the car to be locked into drive. There is a small portion of rust that is in the rockers and under the doors/tail gate which is commonly occurring on these explorers especially here in the north east. The brakes will need to be bled. They were replaced but are not working 100%. Other than that, this car is a solid transportation vehicle, it is great in the snow. I would like to fix these things to make this car perfect but I simply have invested more money than I will be able to get back at this point. The car has had over $1,000 worth of work done on it in the past few weeks. It includes upper ball joints, a full tune up spark plugs and coils (underneath the hood is a lot of new parts and looks very clean), and the transmission oil was replaced. The engine looks very clean considering how much new stuff is under the hood. This vehicle has very low miles for its age and has a lot more life left in it. This Ford Explorer is now a 13 year old and will have its small defects but is an overall great car that has a whole lot of life left in it. You are responsible for the pick-up of the vehicle. You can either hire a transportation company to transport the vehicle for you. If you are locally you are welcomed to come by it pick it up. I will charge $75.00 if you would like for me to pick you up at Boston Logan Airport and transport you to the vehicle, it can be arranged by appointment.
