The engine block and transmission is still the original (#'s match).This car has been garage-kept for most of its life and almost never driven in the rain, so rust is non-existent. It's been taken great care of and it shows. It's a 1976 car so the paint has chips here and there, but the bodywork is still in great condition, and the frame is totally straight and rust-free. Still runs strong and idles perfectly. Starts right up even on a freezing cold day. It’s a super fun car and total head-turner- they don't make cars that look like this anymore! If you're in Cali, it just passed smog in July 2012, so the registration is good for a while. Unfortunately I need a car that can carry more people and stuff and I just can’t afford to own two cars at the moment. I recently from MA to CA, and knowing that Cali has crazy smog regulations I had a lot of stuff overhauled before I moved; see below for a list of all the new parts (all within the last year): New carburetor (Rochester Quadrajet) New aluminum intake (Eldebrock) New distributor (MSD Pro Billet, CARB exempt) New spark plugs (triple platinum) New spark plug wires, boots, and heat shields (MSD superconductor) New water pump New exhaust manifolds New wheels Entire dual exhaust system w/chrome tips is brand new and CA-approved New power steering pump and lines New radiator New harmonic balancer New windshield wiper motor Upgraded to electric choke Upgraded to dual electric cooling fans New speakers (Pioneer 4x6”) New stereo w/iPod connection Sony DSX S200XNew alternator Might be forgetting other things. I also have a beautiful set of ceramic-heat-coated long tube headers that I can include with the car, but they aren’t CA legal, as well as the original leather t-top protection bags.
