Low miles on documented and professionally rebuilt 2.7 liter engine with 911E camshafts. Rebuilt original 5-speed 901 transmission. New Bilstein struts/shocks and turbo tie rods. New batteries. Still wearing it's optional 15" x 6" Fuchs alloys. Detailed service records back to 1993, including Certificate of Authenticity. The following is a detailed description of the car, along with over 100 photos and 2 videos. iPad and iPhone viewers can access photos by clicking HERE. Please email or call us at 415-205-0716, if you have any questions. Photos and Videos Body, Trim and Paint Overall, the majority of the body remains in fair condition with no evidence of accident repair. Having resided in dry New Mexico for at least the last 30 years, the only areas of the upper body showing evidence of rust are the lower area of the left fender and below the left lower corner of the rear windshield. The hood, both doors and deck lid all close easily with good to excellent gaps. There are a few small dents in the body. The front suspension pan, rockers and floors are all original with the original undercoating still present. The only underside spot showing rust is a small area around the right jack receptacle. Left jack receptacle is ok. All the critical suspension points are solid with no rust. All trim parts are present, including the original aluminum decklid grille and gold decklid emblems. Rocker panel deco trim is not presently installed, but a new set of rocker panel deco trim and rubber is included. All chrome displays very good shine with no serious corrosion or pitting. All glass appears to be original, except front windshield. Glass is clear with no cracks. Original glass is tinted as stated in the COA. Original side mirror is installed. All the weatherstripping is present and in fair condition. The current paint color is a Beige Metallic, which was used on the 911SC. We've had a few early 911's painted in this color and it is quite an attractive color on an early 911. Service records show the repaint was completed in 1994 and that front and rear windshields and body trim was removed during the repaint. We can see no evidence of overspray on any of the rubber or trim and the interior of the trunk was painted as well. Over the years, the repaint has gained several chips, but overall, the paint is still acceptable for a driver. Interior The Black Leather interior is in fair condition. The front seats are upholstered in leather with black cloth inserts. COA states that the front seats were upholstered originally with cloth inserts. Always great to see the original dash, original carpet and very nice original map pockets. The original dash has the usual cracks. Rear leather seats and rear panels are also original. Sunvisors and the headliner are in fair original condition. The gauges, switches, vinyl trim and emblem on the face of the dash are all present. Electricals The H4 headlights (low and high beams), tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, fresh air fan and windshield wipers all function. Speedometer, tachometer, oil temp, oil pressure and fuel gauge are functional. Emergency brake and generator warning lights are functional. The odometer is functional and currently reads 72,130 original miles, which is actually 172,130 miles. Two new 12 volt batteries were installed in August of 2012. Engine and Transmission The original 2.2 liter engine failed at 159,500 miles, due to a bad oil pump. The good news is that is was replaced with a professionally rebuilt 2.7 liter 911S engine putting out an estimated 190HP. The rebuild is fully documented and included 911E grind camshafts, new pistons and cylinders with 9.5:1 compression ratio and a street performance valve job. The original Zenith carburetors were jetted and tuned for the 2.7 liter engine. Desirable upgrades to the engine include the important Carrera chain tensioners and turbo valve covers. A Crane pointless ignition was also installed. The engine starts easily and accelerates with good power. There is no smoking during hard acceleration. The original 901 five speed transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding in any gears. Clutch feel is good with no slipping. Service records note a transmission rebuild completed at 126,793 miles. Suspension, Wheels, Tires and Brakes Steering response feels normal and wheel alignment is very good with no vibration felt at high speed. Service records show new Bilstein struts/shocks and turbo tie rod kit were installed at 171,185 miles and a four wheel alignment was completed at 171,253 miles. Per the COA, this 911T was ordered with the optional 15" anodized Fuchs alloy wheels. The wheels could use some new black paint, but they don't have any serious curb scrapes or dents. 195/65HR15 sized Dunlop radial tires older and are read for replacement. The brakes are functioning well. Service records show calipers were rebuilt at 171,185 miles. The emergency brake is correctly adjusted and holds tight. Extra Parts and Documentation The following extra parts are included: Spare wheel, original jack, original air filter cansister, new set of rocker deco panels and rubber, original passenger side seat belt and e-brake handle boot. Documentation includes Certificate of Authenticity and detailed service records back to 1993 or 99,400 miles, including detailed records for the engine and transmission rebuilds (shown in our photo slideshow above).
