Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is an all original mint green 77’ 911S targa with original paint! The car has 93k original documented miles. Everything on this car is original as it left the factory. The body is in fantastic shape with no structural rust. The paint is all original except the left front fender/cowl has been repainted. You can clearly see where the paint didn’t match. Never any accidents. The paint itself has lots of crazing/checking, but that is how the original Porsche metallic paints held up. It’s hard for the camera to expose it and have done to the best of my ability to highlight this with the close ups. There are pics of a few areas where the paint has been touched up too. There is a funny looking lock on the rear decklid that I decided to leave on. Very few early 911s out there still retain their original metallic paint, but this one is a clear exception. It is still virgin and untouched. Even if the paint isn’t perfect I much rather have an original paint car than 95% of the other cars that have mediocre repaints. It gives the car wonderful character and patina. The interior is all original, never reupholstered as well. The driver’s side has several splits that can either be restitched or recovered. The rest of the interior is very clean. Original carpets, seats and door panels, are all in great original shape. It even still has its original “Porsche Blaupunkt” radio! The dash is in good shape with no major cracks. The engine compartment is clean and all original. The front trunk is in excellent shape as well. The front pan is all original and clean. The car comes with its original spare wheel, toolkit, and jack. The targa top fits like a glove. Mechanically the car runs and drives strong. The car fires right up, idles high when it’s cold and then drops once warm, as it should. The engine pulls incredibly strong, idles smooth, doesn’t smoke and barely leaks any oil. The clutch is in good shape. The brakes are decent but are not as powerful as other midyear cars I owned in the past. The car has lots of paperwork. Tons of previous service receipts. Included is the original owner’s manual as well. I have a free and clear title. Overall the car runs and drives great and would be an ideal car to cruise around especially when the weather starts to get nice this coming spring time. Not only is it an ideal cruiser, but this car screams its originality with its original condition. As they say- it’s only original once. These mid-year 911s are rising up in value by the day, as enthusiasts are starting to recognize the fact that these cars have very close ties with the early longhood 911s in so many ways.
