Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a blown/damaged engine selling as is. It has 74,329 miles and was dealer maintained. The rear tires have 50% and the front tires are fairly new and have over 80% tread remaining. The transmission shifts perfectly, and everything is in perfect working order except for the blown engine. The paint/ body is excellent except for one scratch on the rear driver side quarter panel. It is unfortunate now that I must sell this vehicle due to a catastrophic engine failure. The engine failure happened because of a broken valve falling into the cylinder. The engine has not been dissasembled, however it was professionally scoped and there is evidence of piston damage, valve damage which probably means cylinder head and block damage. This happened two weeks ago. I am forced to sell because I am unable to secure the funds for the repairs ( engines go for 5k to 10K depending on the miles and condition) Any of the SRT family of hemi engines will fit with an oil pan and pickup change over. (Charger, Challenger and 300). I still owe on this vehicle, so the bank has title. I can pay off the loan and obtain title if you wish, Iit just may take several days. These vehicles still command upwards of 20K to 25K. I am willing to sell for 12K OBO and if you can do the engine swap yourself, you will be way ahead--my loss, your gain. Feel free to contact me if necessary. I am willing to facilitate shipping in any way that I can, but the buyer is responsible for pick-up at my location. Good luck bidding SELLING AS IS WITH ENGINE DAMAGE.On Jan-17-13 at 06:55:33 PST, seller added the following information: Up for auction is my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a blown/damaged engine selling as is.
