Vehicle Detail

This an awesome car. I have been stopped by many people, just so they could tell me to pretty this car is. I have always kept up with the mechanical maintenance of this LS 1. It has had the recommended fuel and engine cleanings and treatments. In addition is has never been run with conventional oil and the engine runs and sounds wonderful. Unfortunately; Drive and Overdrive are out. I recently found out that this was cause by the incorrect fluid being put into the transmission when I had the last transmission fluid and filter change done. I now find myself with a car that needs some work and the lack of the time and means to take care of this SS the way it should be. With this being the case I am selling the car as it is; needing transmission work and the ABS light comes on intermittently (I have been told it needs a speed sensor to make this light stop coming on).So This SS has to find a new loving home. The exterior of the car is in good condition; much better than average. The pictures do a good job of depicting the car and attempted to take some pictures of some of the flaws. The paint is in good condition; however if you view at the correct angle and lighting, there is some oxidation on the center of the hood and on the bottom of the passenger door. The Cloth (NOT Vinyl) Top with Glass rear windows works great. Tires - 275-45-ZR-17 - which have good tread.Exhaust - shorty headers to a FlowMaster Cat-back (Yes the cathalytic converters have been removed as has the horse power robbing smog pump and related lines)This is NOT a clone! It is a Factory Built SS. It is 1 of less than 800 SS Convertibles and less than 100 of those were silver with a black cloth-top. Happy Bidding - I have set the reserve low due to the needed transmission work.On Jan-19-13 at 13:27:58 PST, seller added the following information: I have tried to include a video of the car starting, driving and the top functioning, however; I must be doing something incorrect. If you search YouTube for "2000 Camaro Convertible SS test drive for EBay" or "0lC92ifkz8k" you can view the video that I have been attempting to include. I appologize for any inconvience this might cause. ADDITIONAL INFO I had the air conditioning componets (ie. compressor, condensor, lines and orface tube) changed this past summer, by a specialist. I had him make sure that the pressures where precises; so now the air-conditioning blows colder than it did from the factory. Also, after making this post I saw that the AutoCheck shows that the car was announced to have frame damage at an auction. I have had the car looked at by a body shop and they did not find any frame damage. Then I dug a little deaper and found out that at some point a paintless dent repair (PDR) guy created one "Access Hole" in both of the "C Pillars"; which messure slightly over 1/4 of an inch. The holes have been covered and I had not noticed them, until I was told what to look for (2 days ago). However, I found out that the "National Auto Auction Association" states: Access Holes (PDR) Access holes 1/4" or less do not require disclosure; Multiple holes or access holes greater than 5/8" require disclosure; Access holes between 1/4" and 5/8" are subject to disclosure based on location and condition. If you would like to view these rules simply look up "NAAA Arbitration Policy; effective January 1, 2011". You will find the information about PDR Access Holes on page 6, Paragraph 8. Also, if you are unsure what a "C Pillar" is you can view the figures on page 17. From my understanding the factory's definition and the NAAA's definition is different. I will attempt add a picture of each of these Holes if I can get it to show up. I also had a 4 wheel alignment done about 3000 miles ago. The car runs great and will drive great when the 3rd and 4th gears are fixed. On Jan-19-13 at 17:35:36 PST, seller added the following information: I have tried to add the pictures of the "Access Hole" on both of the C pillars but, again I am having difficulty. If you would like to see them please send me a message and I will send them to you. Once again, I apologize for the inconvience.
