I have owned this car for about 2.5 years. This was always garaged and never driven in the rain or snow. I have owned several Saabs in the last 20 years and this is by far the best. Its a non-smoker car and the interior is in excellent condition. The dash has cracks from the sun. No evidence of rust or discoloration. Convertible top is flawless. Power soft top works as designed with a push of a button. The interior is nice and clean, leather seats, carpet floors and glass are all in great shape. Engine is in very good shape, does not smoke, does not leak, nice and quiet. Suspension is in excellent condition, car tracks nice and straight. There are not any electrical problems. 4 matching tires with plenty of tread left, that are mounted on good straight rims with no curb rash. To accomodate the family, I need to move away from a manual transmission. Sorry to see it go! Since I've owned the car I have done the following: 1. Complete paint job. Performed by reputable Maaco shop. They did a great job. As you can see in the pictures, I removed most of the trim before the paint. I haven't reinstalled some of the emblems and trim as I was contemplating putting on SPG trim. All the factory original parts are with the car. The car has never been in an accident. The paint was only due to old, cracked clear coat. It was all orginial paint. There is/was no rust on the car. 2. New Clutch and related parts performed by reputable transmission shop. 3. Outer Tie Rods, Outer Sway Bar Brushings, 4 wheel alignment. 4. Brake Calipers. 5. New thermostat and bleed/fill cooling system. 6. Front Shocks. 7. Replaced drive belts. 8. Complete Tune-Up. 9. Oil changed every 3 months. Just passed NYS inspection. 10. New Battery. Also installed Side Post Quick Disconnect for battery as car was strictly used for pleasure and would sometimes go days between use. My mechanic has confirmed there is no rust under the car, including the Control Arms. He is a Saab specialist that I have used for many years. I have receipts for all of the above. I have invested approximately $3500 in the car and it shows. Original Owners Manuals in case included.
