Vehicle Detail
This is a fully equipped well maintained original numbers matching TA with WS6 handing package. Current California Smog: Licensed until November 2013. I purchased this car from the original owner in 2010; she owned it since new. The car was built in Van Nuys California and since it has the 301-4v Pontiac motor it was sold new in Mecham Pontiac in Glendale Arizona, November of 1979. The first year it was titled in Arizona and the owner registered the car in San Diego, November 1980 where it retains its original blue and yellow California plates; I have copies of both original titles with almost every year registration. The first 28 years of its life it was her daily driver and mechanically maintained with minor cosmetic repairs made as needed. For a few years prior to my purchase it was driven on weekends only and garaged. The odometer read 75,375 when I purchased the car and I have put another 7,000+ miles in the past two + years. It probably has another 100,000 miles on it, however it drives like a car with much less miles. I've had mechanic check out the engine and go threw the transmission and possi rear end; he also replaced the shocks & suspension parts; all belts and hoses; brakes including front rotors and bearings; steering box; water pump, and; new heater core and AC compressor clutch. Everything works well under the hood including COLD air conditioning, hitting mid twenties for mpg on the freeway. In addition, the car came with new Cooper radials, and two extra WS6 Snowflake mags & center caps. I replaced the Midas with a Flowmaster and the correct OEM tailpipes and exhaust extensions. The rear seat was recovered with OEM fabric from PUI; the front seats are worn looking but not worn out, and; some interior trim has been redyed. This car has a great patina with approximatley 90% percent of the original paint that is thinning in some places; according to original owner, the nose, rear trunk spoiler and left front fender have had some respray touchup. There is absolutely no rust on this car. I had both doors rehung in 2012 with new OEM hinges painted to match the car; this included replacing and refurbishing with OEM latches, strikers, door seal rubbers, window felt, and power window switches. All the right things have been done on this car to make it a great driver and it would not take much to make this a show car, however these cars are only original once. There were two build sheets with this car; the one under the passenger front sheet is correct and incomplete, and; the one located behind the rear seat with a 9 rather than a 6 as the last digit. The original space saver spare; one of extra Snowflake wheels with same size tire; original brocheres, and; an additional set of roof mount seatbelt covers. I have clear California Title. This is a no reserve auction the the high bidder will own the car. Buyer pay with secure US funds within seven days close of auction, and; buyer responsible for all transportation costs as well as any smog certs, sales tax and or title transfer. I make no warranties on the car, however I feel that you can fly in and drive it anywhere. Good luck :).
