Vehicle Detail

1974 Triumph TR6 - Complete Project Car This is a complete project car with a functioning engine. Great for a weekend warrior. I picked up the car to restore, but decided to move out of country instead. My loss is your gain! Here is the history of the car, what I see as the pros and cons: I bought the car from a gentleman in Kentucky who had it in a barn for 4 years. Prior to sitting in the barn he indicated that the car was fully running. Engine: Turns Over Freely and Works I pulled the engine out of the car to get in running. After putting it on a circuit, rebuilding the distributor and rebuilding one of the carbs, I was able to start the engine. It has only fired once and will need some fine tuning to get it to start every time. If I had more time I would do the tuning myself. In working on the engine, I did not open the cylinder bay, so there should not be any issues regarding poor torque assembly. As far as I understand, the engine has never been opened. New Engine Parts: Two carburettor rebuild kits. One already installed. One new coil. One ditributor rebuild kit already installed. 6 New Spark Plugs and spark plug wiring (already installed) Parts I have Tested for Functionality: Coil, Distributor, and Starter all work fully. The engine is currently out of the car, but will be placed back in the engine bay before sale. Electricals: Need to be de-bugged The front wiring harness needs to be checked for bad splices. When I run the battery on the car, some of the lights turn on. I bought a new ignition switch and I believe the mechanic has two choices: 1. Reconnect the new ignition switch and then test the wiring harness for bad grounds. 2. Buy an new wiring harness. Body Shape: You will notice that the body is in pretty good shape. The frame appears to be solid with no rust. The only parts that I believe need to be changed include: two floor pans, and the door rockers. The rest of the body can be patched up relatively easily. The doors and trunk are fully functional. The floor pans are currently rusted through and need to be replaced. Interior:Two complete seats with some tears, need to be reupholstered. All carpet has been removed and will need to be replaced. The interior door panels are suitable. (see pictures) Please let me know if you have additional questions. On Jan-03-13 at 18:28:32 PST, seller added the following information: Special Notes: The engine has only run when it was taken out of the car. Electrical work including assembly of the ignition and gauges (all included) will need to be finalised after the electrical issues have been de-bugged. The gauges and console are not attached. After the electrics have been debugged, the ignition and center console will need to be assembled.
