here's a great start for a ground-up restoration of a classic sports car...i bought this car used in 1980 with 40,000 miles on it...the original color was a sort of dark royal blue metallic paint...the interior vinyl was white and the carpet, dash etc was black...it had recently been repainted bright white and a one-piece solid glass sunroof installed...i still have the original steel wheels and the proper wheel covers...this car has NEVER been wrecked, not even a minor fender-bender....it is 90% original except for the paint and sunroof....the engine runs fine and is all stock; it's never been messed with...the clutch plates however are stuck and the car can't be moved without starting in gear...before i parked it i had installed new fuel injectors, a new vacuum hose harness, hard urethethane bushings in all the front end, and new McPhereson strut cartridges....it's wearing some very spiffy Gotti-look faux modular wheels...oil and filter were changed regularly about every 2500 miles, Castrol GTX 10W40...the rear glass was intact a year ago but was the victim of a lawnmower-thrown rock and is gradually crumbling...the door handles no longer operate from outside, you have to go in through the hatch...there are certainly rust issues but seem to all be surface...the car was garage kept and only driven occasionally the first ten years or so after i got it, but a growing family forced me to use it as a work car...i had always intended to totally restoe this car myself but finances and a place to work have changed things...it hurts to sell what was once my "pride and joy" but i must!! i'd like to see someone get it that can restore it to its original (or more enhanced) glory...if you want to put the proverbial small-block Chevy engine in it, please don't tell me!! i couldn't take it!On Jan-06-13 at 10:16:12 PST, seller added the following information: forgot to add in original listing: all the rubber pieces on the bumpers have been replaced so they're not crumbly and dry rotted.
