Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1965 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. This is a 2 owner California car that my dad and I did an amateur restoration on about 10 years ago. The car has a great running V8 engine an a nice shifting automatic transmission. The car fires right up everytime with a good battery and goes down the road like a dream. It has 1 chamber flowmasters on it that exit through the GT baffles. It might be a little loud for some people but the mufflers could easily be changed. The exhaust system is all new except the GT ends, they are factory original equipment to the car. The car has a nice red paint job and a very clean and straight body. The interior is all new. Seats, carpet, sun visors, kick panels, door panels, handles, gauge bezel, glove box door, dash pad, and trunk matt. It also has new front windshield. The console was also original factory equipment and was cleaned up and re installed. It has new chrome bumpers and a new fog lamp kit and light bar/grill set. It has manual disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. The car has a new power top. The car has always been garaged in the time we have owned it and never taken out in bad weather. It has pretty much been babied. To be honest here in Sacramento we get plenty of warm sunny days and I have never driven the car with the top up, neither has my dad. When we built the car we had a new top professionally installed but it has never been used. As you can see from the pics it is still so tight it was hard to latch. The car will get some sun time in the next few days and the material will losen up and I can latch it for the new owner. The Mustang sits on a set of new American Racing wheels with new tires. The car has been nothing but fun to own and is a very reliable and dependable car. The motor has a new Holley 650 carb with electric choke, a Mallory Uni Light Distributor, new plugs, new wires, new Accel coil, new starter, new alternator, new hoses, belt, new radiator, fuel lines, and battery cables. You just hit the key and this baby fires right off. All of the major front end parts have been replaced with new parts, the rotors and calipers are factory ford and not new. As you can see from the pictures under the car there are zero rust issues anywhere. We also installed a new heater core in the car when we had it apart and the heater/defrost/fan all work great. The car is very nice, it has a great shine on the paint, is fun and comfortable to drive and gets lots of attention where ever it goes. We have put many trouble free miles on the car. Its been around town, up to the mountains and the down the coast and it has always made a successful round trip. It does tend to run a tad warm in the summer time and could use a fan shroud, we just never got around it. Also, the radio and wipers don't work. It isn't perfect, but nice. Look at the pictures and see for yourself, email with any questions. Thanks for looking. Car is selling as is where is, there are no warranties implied expressed or given. Please be ready to pay for and pick up the car within 2 weeks of auction close. If you want to have the car transported buyer to pay all transport fees but I can help out in any other way that I can. If you want to fly in and drive the car home it will make any trip without any known problems to me. A $500 paypal deposit will be required within 48 hours of auction close. I have a clean and clear California title for the car, lic tags are good till Aug 2013. Good luck!!
