Vehicle Detail
1949 Packard Limousine ProjectI have for a sale a 1949 Packard Limousine that has had some restoration work done but does need completed. The work that was completed on the car was done in the mid 90's.This may be considered a custom 8 sedan or super 8 because it does not have the dividing window but it does have the fold up jump seats in between the front and back seats. Body: This car is very solid and at one time was prepped for paint but will need to be gone over again. The only rust I have been able to find is in the outer lip of the trunk lid. Engine and Chassis: The engine dose turn freely and the previous owner said he had it running a couple of years ago and it ran well. The frame, Brakes and Shocks have all been rebuilt.Interior:The seats have been re-covered(even the two "jump seats")in a two tone blue cloth as well as the door panels. the car is very full of its own parts and I do not have a very good picture of the seats but the door panels I could pull out look very nice.Chrome:In my opinion this is where much of the value of this car is. There is much of the chrome work that has already been done I have some nice pics of most of the chrome but there is more still wrapped up in boxes. I have had many collector cars over the years and this is some of the nicest chrome work I have ever seen. The bumpers and hood ornament are not re-chromed and there is no glass with the car.I do have a title for the car. The car rolls easily and I will help you load it. If there are any specific questions or pictures you need just let me know and I will work with you in any way I can. Please look at the pics and if you have any questions please ask.I will require 10% non refundable deposit within 48 hrs of auction end. I'm willing to work with you on shipping the car but prefer you pick it up at my place. If picking up, buyer needs to take delivery within 2 weeks after auction ends. Any additional storage time after two weeks will be an additional $35.00 per week or $5 per day. Thanks for looking, and happy hot rodding! And this is considered a Custom 8 not a Super 8.On Jan-06-13 at 09:41:55 PST, seller added the following information: NO RESERVE!
