2002 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Adventure Touring Bike The bike is in excellent condition and has been well cared for with regular maintenance and cleaning. There are just a few hundred miles shy of 29,000 miles on the odometer, and the miles will continue to grow as I often ride it to work. Oil and filter has been changed every 2,500-3,000 miles, with the air filter and chain also cleaned/lubed often. There are no known mechanical issues. The bikes starts, idles, shifts, brakes, rides, and cruises in excellent fashion. Normal scratches from regular use. The V-Strom 1000 in my opinion is an excellent multi-day adventure touring motorcycle. There is a reason the bike has such a cult following. It feels right at home on the back twisties, eating up highway miles, two-up touring, and dirt/gravel fire and mountain roads. What a pure pleasure the 1000cc engine is. There is plenty of snappy get up and go and bottom end torque to bring a smile and grin to your face. I had planned to prep and use this steed for some long distance riding (Colorado, Alaska, etc) in the future, but my plans have changed. Installed on the bike are a handful of quality parts including the following: - Corbin seat (stock included as well) - Dobek Fuel Controller - New Shinko 705 tire on the front (less than 500 miles) - New Metzler Tourance tire on the rear (less than 1000 miles) - New rear Shinko 705 tire (not installed) - Aprilia multi-flex mirrors - Givi Touring sidcases (keys included) - Givi Touring top case with rack (keys included) - Givi tall windscreen - Givi crash bars - Suzuki OEM skid plate - Suzuki tall windscreen included - Suzuki stock windscreen included - Suzuki OEM handguards - MSR front foot pegs (stock pegs included as well) - New EBC sintered double H front brake pads and new fluid (less than 500 miles) - New EBC sintered double H rear brake pads (not installed) - New OEM front and rear sprockets, and chain (less than 1000 miles) - Oxford multi-stage heated grips - Under seat fuse box - Tank bag (magnetic) - Pro Taper ATV bars and pad (stock were uncomfortable, this is a common upgrade recommended on Advrider) - 1" inch rear raising links and stock links Several of these parts were installed around the time the bike was purchased new and have performed flawlessly. One of the rear Givi side cases has a scratch/blemish due to a fall over. Next service is scheduled for 30,000 miles. Two keys and the original tool kit will come with the bike. I also have a few new NGK spark plugs and a few oil filters to include with the sale. I have a clear title in hand. If you have any questions please feel free to let me know before buying.
