Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is an all-original 2–owner, 1974 911 targa with 39k original, documented miles! This car is truly a time capsule. The documents and records are incredible. Service receipts go back to 1975. 1st owner bought the car new in Burbank, CA and then sold to the 2nd owner to a lady in Dallas, TX where it has been ever since. The 39,000 original mileage is fully documented. All the components on the car are so pristine and untouched. The interior is mint condition. All the carpet is original and perfect shape. The seats and original upholstery is in excellent shape. All the lights and electrics work as they should. The steering wheel is like new. The dash is uncracked in new condition, which is rarely seen. All the stainless steel trim, glass, chrome is pristine. The front trunk is all original and in new condition as well. The engine compartment is all original and clean. 0.0 rust underneath and is straight as an arrow. The paint is gorgeous and very high quality job done to it. The targa top fits like a glove. All the rubber seals are in excellent shape. The Michelin tires are new. Brand new Bosch battery installed. Always maintained by the best Porsche shops in town. The car has incredible documentation and service receipts that date back to 1974. All the receipts are consistent with no major gaps in time. It just drives so tight with no rattles, no shakes or strange noises- just like a new car should. The engine runs incredibly well. Leaks zero oil, fantastic oil pressure, and plenty of raw power! After the car is warmed up it starts to smoke a bit. I think the car needs to be driven because it wasn’t driven regularly since 2008. So perhaps after some drives the smoke will go away. That being said, the car runs and drives absolutely fabulous. These 1974 cars never had the notorious thermal reactors that California 911s had starting in 1975 onwards- a big plus. It shifts like butter. Brakes are phenomenal. Furthermore, this car was always in southern California and Texas so it hardly ever saw rain, so there is zero corrosion! The body and gaps are absolutely perfect with a slight exception to the driver’s door. The lady backed out of her garage with the driver's door open which dented the top of the door and a wide dent in the front part of the door. The door pillar was not affected at all. There is also a tiny little ding on the decklid. Otherwise all the panels have perfect gapping just like it rolled out of the factory. Overall, this car is a true time capsule. The condition is so nice, that it really looks fresh off the showroom floor by its condition and originality. I have the original owners manual and maintenance record booklet with dealer stamps. I have a free and clear title. These mid-year 911s are rising up in value by the day, as enthusiasts are starting to recognize the fact that these cars have very close ties with the early longhood 911s in so many ways. This car represents one of the finest available.
