1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham LS with 50,028 ORIGINAL miles!! This car has NOT rolled over, these are the actual miles. I am the third owner. The gentleman I bought the car from bought it from the original owner who was the lady that purchased the car brand new. I just purchased the car a little while ago and have not registered it yet but the title is clear and ready to be signed over to the new owner. The reason I am selling the car is my job situation has just changed and I need to sell this car to buy a commuter car for myself. I need it to go to a good home. The price is truly a steal ! Let me describe the car's pros and cons in the best honest details possible: Exterior : PROS : - Original factory white paint still shines and the cream white vinyl top is in mint condition with no scratches, gouges, tears, stains, etc. - Chrome bumpers, painted white bumper fillers, and black rubber bumper trim are all in fantastic condition with the exception of one crack in the rear driver's side black rubber bumper trim. - Car has limo lights that light up on each side between the front and rear doors on both sides of the car. - Has a $500 E and G Classic chrome aftermarket grille ( also the original grille is in amazing shape and is included with all the original fasteners and hardware with the car ) - Has blue HID headlight installed with crystal clear lenses and all signals, brake lights, park lights etc. work and are in fantastic shape. - Has a $2500 set of Velocity chrome 24 inch rims with Toyo Low Profile tires with 85% tread remaining in fantastic shape. The rims do have a little curb rash on the very outer edges right by the tires, but it's minor and you have to get very close to tell. There is no pitting or marking on the lips or spokes or centers of the rims, just the very edges. They really do look awesome. Also comes with all four stock rims and hubcaps with tires ( 2 have great tread still, 2 are ok and could be driven on for a couple months before being replaced) and hubcap and rim wrenches. CONS : - The car has a power antenna that is currently not working. - The driver's side limo light is currently not working and has a small hole in the clear plastic that houses the lens. The lens itself has no damage, so I am assuming the bulb is burned out. - The original owner did damage the driver's side front fender ( please see pics ) and chrome trim over the wheel. Also on the passenger side there is damage to the front fender, pillar and side mirror, and rear passenger door, and the chrome trim over the wheels as well. ( again please see pics ) The dent in the rear door was pulled out but needs finishing work. - The front tires do rub when you hit bumps, especially at lower speeds. I drove it on the highway and didn't have any problems. The turning radius is still really close to stock before they start rubbing, so that's not an issue. I had to crank the wheel to get them to touch while turning. The tire shop I went to told me they sell some spring compressors at Napa to raise the front a couple inches which should stop the rubbing. The rear has plenty of clearance without any additions. Interior : The interior of the car is truly amazing. This is where you can definitely tell this is a 50,028 original mile car!! All gray interior; carpet, dash, headliner, leather door panels and leather seats. The leather is great....no tears or rips or holes or anything. No sag in the headliner and no rips or tears, its perfect. The dash looks great and has a black dash cover over it to protect it from the sun. All the gauges and knobs and everything are intact and work as they should. The heat blows hot and the A/C has been recharged and blows cold. All the power windows and door locks and seats work as they should as well. The sound system was professionally installed. The stock tape player and the front 4x6 speakers have been removed ( but are intact and included with the car ) and replaced with aftermarket 4x6 speakers and an IPod, CD, MP3 and DVD compatible motorized touch screen! The stock 6x9 speakers are still in the back dash,and in the trunk there is a custom carpeted box with two L5 square Kicker subwoofers and a Kicker two channel 1500 watt amp. Sounds great! The stock radio and the stock speakers from the front dash are included with the car. The car idles rough when you first start the car. It seems to be running rich and you have to give it some gas to even the idle out, so it could use some carb adjustment to fix this, but once the idles evens out it idles extremely well. Could maybe use a tune up and a balance/alignment as well, but nothing other than that. Its an awesome car and does need some body work and odds and ends to finish, but like I said I just cant do that and need it to go to a good home. The car in fair condition books at $3,900, and with the aftermarket grille and HID headlights and the sound system and the 24 inch rims and low profile tires and all the original spare parts and the LOW original miles this is definitely a great price so please no lowballing. Also includes original Chevrolet Caprice owners manual and scheduled maintenance guide and a file of maintenance paperwork and receipts from the original owner.
