I am listing this beautiful 1955 Chevy convertible for a friend. A complete 2 year frame off restoration was completed by his father in 1993. Since then, the car has been garaged and cover. It has been started weekly and driven 6,320 since the rebuild. The Chevy was restored to the original color and the interior was also restored to original. The dash is unmolested with the original radio and clock in place.The continental kit and hardware are original to the car. The only component not orignal is the motor. However, it is a period correct 265 V8. The motor and orignal power glide were rebuilt and both function very well. All electrical wiring, hardware, and convertible top mechanical parts were replaced or repaired to insure trouble free operation.The convertible top and boot were replace during the restoration. Although still functional, both are beginning to show their age. All glass was replaced except for the rear windows which do show some delamination. The doors and windows function properly. This sweet 55 drives and handles great. If I were the new owner. I would replace the bias ply tires with radials for smoother high speed stability and safety and detail the engine compartment.
