Rust free car in immaculate condition Up for auction is a beautiful 1 owner 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL in gorgeous Anthracite Grey Metallic with Grey interior. This SL left the Mercedes-Benz production line in Stuttgart Germany in May of 1984, then invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America. Arriving in the country in August of 1984 where it was then sent to House of Imports Mercedes-Benz in Buena Park Orange County California. It sold to the one and only owner for $44,180 in December of 1984. From 1984 to late 1988 the car lived in Santa Ana then moved to AZ where it resides currently. This is a beautifully maintained SL since new, and has the original owners manual, warranty books, dealer books, window sticker, MB quick cards, original Becker instructional cassette tape, the Huf factory keys, factory hardtop, soft top, hardtop/soft top key, tool kit, jack and spare tire are all present. It has its original Mercedes-Benz factory Becker Grand Prix Electronic radio with power antenna and original chrome 14" polished aluminum Mercedes-Benz Bundt style wheels. Everything works on the car, ice cold A/C, power windows, power door locks, all the electronics and lights, turn signals, reverse lights, fog lights, and license plate lights work. The service booklet is stamped by a Mercedes dealership or Mercedes specialty shop with all routine maintenance.This SL was just recently serviced with newer pads, A/C belt, alternator belt, air pump belt, fan belt and power steering belt recently replaced. The fuel distributor system has been replaced and tuned to factory spec. The interior is absolutely stunning! The seats do not have any wear, cracks or stains anywhere. The carpets are all original and in beautiful shape. The wood grain is perfect, not a single crack or any type of discoloration in the wood. All of the trim, the plastics and chrome are in perfect shape. It even has the original sun visor clips intact and working perfect. The dash is perfect without any cracks.The exterior chrome on the bumpers, the windshield, doors and trunk are beautiful, all of the black rubber and plastic trim bits are in excellent condition. The hardtop is in beautiful shape, the headliner is perfect, and all the chrome and glass is perfect. The soft top is a brand new factory top in its original black. The top mechanisms function perfectly with easy opening, unlocking and closing of the top and the hardtop. The paint is stunning with an absolutely gorgeous shine to it, the body is straight without a single dent or ding. As shown in the pic there are two scratches on the back deck due to the hardtop and one tiny scratch just behind the driver front wheel on the fender. The car is in outstanding showroom condition, it runs and drives beautifully, it idles superbly, the transmission shifts great, the steering feels tight and precise with no play in the wheel and the suspension feels excellent with no creaks or rattles. Still has its original Mercedes-Benz windshield, the hardtop stand and a factory Mercedes-Benz hadtop cover. The car has never been neglected like many older R107 SL's.
