Photos and Videos                                Body, Trim and Paint This excellent 1970 911T Targa has  always resided in sunny California, since sold new at the Porsche Audi West dealership in Pleasanton, California on 12/21/69. The body remains in excellent condition with the original undercarriage showing no evidence of prior metal replacement. Original undercoating is still present. The hood, both doors and deck lid all close nicely with excellent gaps. There are no dents or dings. All trim parts are in  excellent condition with records for replacement of all rubber and deco trim during the car's first and only repaint. All glass is in excellent condition. Headlight glass is excellent with no damage. All chrome parts show excellent shine. A new correct Durant side mirror is installed and an additional passenger side will be included. The factory optioned gold emblems look great against the light ivory paint color! A professional bare metal repaint in the original color of Light Ivory was completed  12 years ago at an approximate cost of $15,000, including rubber and deco replacement.  The body was completely disassembled prior to the repaint at a documented cost of $3000. With less than 10K miles driven since it's completion, the paint remains in excellent condition with only a very few small  chips. Paint thickness measurements are excellent with the majority of readings within the range of 100 and 300 microns.                                 Interior The   Black Leatherette interior is in with the very good condition with the front and rear seats showing minimal wear. The dash, door pockets and rear parcel shelf were replaced at the time of the repaint. A pair oriignal front map pockets are included. The carpet is all original and in good condition with driver side floor mat showing the most wear. The gauges, switches and knobs on the face of the dash are all originals, except for an ignition switch replacement. Original steering wheel and shift knob are still present. The original Targa top vinyl shows some wear, but it's fit is excellent with no water leaks after a recent drive in the rain. Electricals H4 Euro headlights (low and high beams), tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals, horn, fresh air fan, and windshield wipers all function. Speedometer, tachometer, oil temp, oil pressure and fuel gauges are functional. Emergency brake and generator warning lights are functional. The odometer is functional and currently reads 84,279 original miles. A high end Sony AM/FM/Cassette stereo with Soundstream amplifier, 4 way speakers and Sony CD Changer  are installed.  A newer 12 volt battery is installed with a convenient trickle charger connected. Engine and Transmission The engine is the original numbers matching 2.2 liter (engine number 6105632), factory rated at 125HP. The engine starts easily and accelerates smoothly with excellent power. There is no smoking on startup or during hard acceleration. Desirable upgrades to the engine include Carrera oil fed tensioners and lower turbo valve covers. The engine received the following  service within the last 3000 miles: oil and filter change, new fuel filter, valve adjustment, new spark plugs, points, valve cover gaskets, air filter, alternator belt, ignition timing adjusted and carburetors tuned. A compression test was completed at the time of this service with 125psi measured at each cylinder. The original 901 five speed transmission shifts smoothly. Swepco 210 gearbox oil was changed 3000 miles ago. New clutch was installed within the last 10K miles. Suspension, Wheels, Tires and Brakes The suspension rides very well with less than 10K miles on front and rear Bilstein shocks. New front inner and outer wheel bearings were installed 3000 miles ago. 16" polished Fuchs factory alloy wheels are currently installed and are in excellent condition. The original 14" anodized Fuchs alloy wheels are included and are in very good original condition. The spare wheel is the original 14" Fuchs wheel still wearing it's original Michelin tire. The 16" Fuchs wheels are wearing 205/55VR16AVS sized Yokohama ES100-N radial tires which are in excellent condition with less than 3000 miles of wear. The original 14" Fuchs wheels are wearing older Michelin radial tires, but show excellent tread. The brakes are in excellent condition with less than 3000 miles on new front and rear brake calipers, rotors, pads and hoses. The emergency brake is adjusted correctly and holds tight.       Extra Parts and Documentation The following extra parts are included: Full set of original 14" Fuchs alloy wheels, pair of original front map pockets, correct Durant style passenger side mirror, original spare and original jack. Shipping: Transportation expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days from close of the auction, after which a storage fee of $15.00 per day (or partial day) will be charged.
