Vehicle Detail

I have now learned the hard way why you should always crawl around the ground underneath any vehicle that you buy even if it is only 10 years old.....the ugly first....this truck has a broken, rusty frame. The frame is completely broken just behind the driver’s side rear axle. This is shown clearly in one of the photos. I am listing it on here as-is/for parts. Now the good.....I did drive it before buying. It has a great running engine in it and the transmission shifts smooth....all with only 119k miles. I had it parked in my driveway for a month and I didn't notice any fluid underneath of it. There are many useable parts on the truck. I have done some digging around on here and noticed that some used engines are $1000, transmissions are $900, truck beds are $900, whole fronts of trucks $1300, head lights alone are $50/ea....you get the picture. Maybe you can make a little money on this truck or save $ by using the parts?....my loss, your gain.....I have no desire to disassemble this thing. I just want it out of my driveway. I will try my best to think of every single thing that I know is wrong, but if you really want to know for sure you should contact me and come and take a look. I am not making any guarantees so do your due diligence prior to bidding. Overall the body is decent with no major damage, but it does have a few small rust spots (the worst one is on the gas cap & pictured), scratches and dings that I have tried to depict in the pictures. The bed and tailgate also have a few rust spots and dings. There is a decent bed liner that comes with it. The tail gate has the sticker that says it will run on Flex fuel. The interior is a little bit dirty and stinky. The cruise control on/off thing on the steering wheel is not attached (pictured). The wonderful people (sarcasm) who used to own this truck replaced some of the interior with lipstick red vinyl (pictured). On the exterior driver side door the handle is broken and the lock is missing....you can still open the door, but you have to stick your finger in the opening where the lock goes and push down. The tires are all decent but don't match, and the wheels on the driver's side are different from the wheels on the passenger side. The battery does not hold a charge for more than a day or two. I will charge it if needed when the winning bidder comes to pick it up, so that you can hear how smooth it runs. I drove this truck ½ hour on the interstate to get it home, so I know you CAN drive the truck home, but I don’t think that you SHOULD be driving it due to the condition of the frame. Yes, some unsavory people knowingly sold me a lemon, and now I hope that you can make some lemonade out of it. This is for pick-up only, as I will not hassle with shipping the truck. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer them fully. Thanks for looking. Clean and clear Indiana Title in my name. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
