1967 Cougar XR7, Dan Gurney Special. I am the 3rd owner of this car. First owner purchased car new in Petersburg, VA. Vehicle was sold in 1990 to second owner. The second owner was a Ford service mechanic. He replaced the original engine with a freshly rebuilt 5.0 Liter HO engine from a 1987 Mustang. He also installed a 9 inch rear and disc brakes on all four wheels. Installed power adjustable front seats, CD/radio, electric antenna, alarm system, and cruise control as well. All components were replaced in order to make this car a reliable long distance driver. He wanted to be able to drive this car anywhere. Car rides smooth on the the interstate at 75 MPH. Just a solid car all around. Garage kept since 1990. Second owner sold because he lost his license due to his age and car was just not being driven. Car just inspected and has has a valid Virginia November inspection and a clear title. Since purchasing I have replaced the rear shocks, master cylinder, booster, tires, and wheels. Car has been repainted it's original color Jamaican yellow earlier this year. Engine has approximately 11,000 miles on rebuild. I have the original seats, original radio, original clock, original spare tire, and the Marti report for this car. Everything works except for AC and clock. Told AC needs recharging, we just have not followed up to correct. All lights work, vaccum headlights, sequential taillights, gauges, warning lights, etc. This car is a solid driver and fun to drive. Do not find many in this great of shape. Can take this car anywhere. We initially bought car for our son to drive to school but since car has no shoulder belts my wife felt it was a safety issue so we are selling. Welcome to inspect and drive the car.
