Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Here we have a very rare custom 1983 242 TURBO VOLVO GL COUPE with custom two tone paint, custom two tone interior, up graded GT door panels front and rear. This car is loaded with power windows, power door locks, sun roof and the 2.1 TURBO motor with the 4 speed manual overdrive transmission. The car has been stored for last few years, reg. is out and the car only has 170K miles. Comes with clean Ca. title. These 2 door Turbo stick coupes are getting harder and harder to find in this condition and this one is pretty much compete right down to door pockets, e-brake console, rear seatbelt covers and it even has the plastic trim which runs along the bottom of the car. Carpets are in good shape with no rips or tears. The dash has the usual cracks being that this car is almost 30 years old and has a cloth dash cover. Interior has been up graded with two tone red and black vinyl seats front and back and GT door panels have been added to give it that added one of a kind custom look. Comes with full gauges with the large tachometer in the cluster, small clock and triple gauge package with Turbo gauge, 5 number Bar gauge and Volt meter. Door pockets are on each front door and the center E-brake console is intact, electric windows and sun roof also come with this car. Exterior was repainted a few years ago with two tone red and black and with the silver colored Turbo rims and 15 inch tires this car really looks good. All the Turbo black trim pieces are in fair to good condition and the mud flaps are still intact. Rear tail lights are in good condition. The Turbo badges are still on the car. Front lights and grill are in good condition. It has the up graded front windshield with the black rubber trim. There are a few minor dings, scratches and some paint fading. With this car being in California and the weather being so nice, the car only has two spots where there appears to be some rust. There is some rust starting along the base of the front windshield between the windshield wiper arms. Being that this is a 30 year old car and it still has a lot of the original parts, there are some minor flaws. The original black head liner is in good condition.. The dash has few of the usual cracks from the sun and a dash cover has been provided to keep it protected. I will continue my best to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability. I am providing pictures of the car to do the best I can to represent the car to the best of my ability. I will gladly add more pics and send them to you upon request. I have drained the gas tank, replaced the main tank fuel pump, changed the oil and the car fired right up. Motor runs great and the trans shifts fine. If you are considering flying out and driving this car back home, I would have the belts, and hoses changed as well as the timing belt. California buyers need to check on back reg. fees and car is sold as is, I will smog the car but buyer is responsible for any and all repair costs that may incur for it to pass smog if it fails. The car last passed smog back in 2005 with 156K miles.
