THIS TRUCK IS BEING RELISTED WITH A LOWER RESERVE. RESERVE IS NOW BELOW THE PREVIOUS HIGH BID! This is actually a very nice little pick up, with one very big problem. The body is actually very nice, with minor rust and one rather deep scratch in the tailgait. (Rust and scratch pictured.) The interior is clean and in nice shape. Pick up box and bed are solid. Springs, front end, shocks, transmission, and rear end appear very good. Air conditioner compressor turns, but air does not blow cold. My son bought this vehicle and drove it for a few months with no problems at all. One day, when he was driving home, the engine began to knock and a cloud of blue smoke developed. There is a clear internal engine problem. Engine will either need to be rebuilt or replaced. Vehicle was briefly started a few times after the incident, but not allowed to run for any length of time so that no more damage would be done. The last time he tried to start it, the battery was down. This would make a good vehicle for some one handy enough to change out the engine. This is a standard transmission. The clutch seemed good when the engine went, but it is a wear item and we don't know if it has ever been replaced. While changing out the engine, it would be an opportune moment to check wear on the clutch. I am selling this vehicle for my son and daughter-in-law. It is located at their home in Carrollton, MI. It is a nice enough truck that I had considered buying it from him myself, for a sum larger than the current reserve, and having a Jasper engine dropped into it. The only thing that discouraged me was the standard transmission, which my wife doesn't drive, and as a lazy old man, I would rather not. (
