Vehicle Detail

1970 Porsche 911 T Coupe (This is the real car as seen, that is a reflection in the water) Up for auction today is a Very Nice 1970 911 T Non- Sunroof Coupe. Chassis # 911021794 Engine # 6114865 This 911T is a tribute to a long history of racing Porsche 911’s. Lowered, finished in Grand Prix White with Ebony interior and a ducktail, RS front bumper, steel rear bumpers with molding removed and Porsche script on the sides, it is a great example of Porsche history. This would be a great car to be involved with the Gruppe R club. We acquired this very nice example from a southern Californian collector that started this project with a nice solid 911 T. He had several of these early coupes and between health concerns and the need to free up space, had to let this one go. When we received this car, we were very happy with it overall condition. It only needed a good clean up, some interior work and engine prep to get it to its current condition. After some paint touch up and full cut and polish of the paint it shows very well and looks brilliant. The interior received a full freshening and carpet kit. To match its racy stance we installed RS door panels with red door pulls to give it a great feel inside. The prior owner had put in an outdated radio that was removed for a radio delete plate that seems more proper for this coupe. The sound from the 2.2 flat six is better than any music you can play through speakers! The lowered stance and Weltmiester shock tie bar tighten this chassis to better than new handling. The factory Fuchs wheels and painted center caps round out the entire package of a proper looking 911. We did go though the braking system to make sure it had no issues was up to the task. While being serviced, we removed the engine for an compression and leak down test. At less than 8% leak down, it passed with flying colors. We re-sealed engine completely, and replaced all worn, torn, or improper parts to put together an engine that looks restored to like new condition. The carburetors were completely rebuilt by a specialist and the engine was Dyno tested were it preformed very well making 110 hp at the wheels. This motor is impressive to look at and sounds and runs even better. All the lights work properly, along with the other electrical components. We did have to replace the tach from the same year 911 because it was not reading correctly. The lenses are all original parts, plus the Bosch H1 headlamps are rare and period correct. All ignition components were serviced and replaced as needed. We replaced the factory engine stickers and engine insulation to finish of the engine compartment to a very show-able condition. Under the bonnet the car shows just as well. It is finished in Gran Prix White, with the correct felt carpet kit and a Fuch’s spare with new tire. The washer bottle and evaporator tank are present. The car retains two new batteries and correct wiring. We were able preserve the look and integrity of the front compartment. The body moldings came to us blacked out, for a sportier look, and were well done. Overall the trim, fit, and finish is very good on this car. The doors open with the Porsche “ting” just like when it was new. Driving this early long hood 911 is pure pleasure. Everything from the moment you get in the car, turn the key and hear the flat six cylinder engine come to life, to revving through the very mechanical gear box, is pure driving pleasure. No car today has the charisma or feeling of an early 911 Porsche. These cars are very sought after because of this. Even the base 911 T’s are quickly being bought up, put away by collectors, and prices are soaring. Like some of the other European makes, affordable vintage 911’s are almost impossible to find at this point in time. Please enjoy all the pictures and videos of this 911. We are very proud to offer it for sale, and will duly miss it on our showroom floor. If you have any questions, please call Josh at 503 475 8078 or Matt 503 819 9007.
