2005 Mazda Mazdaspeed MX5 Miata for sale. Great shape inside and out. Rare - 1 of 1428 total Mazdaspeed MX5s produced in 2005. Brief bit of info on the Mazdaspeed MX5 versions. It was not simply a "normal" miata with a turbo, body kit and 17 inch wheels, but rather a through uprating of the entire car designed for the "enthusiast" driver. For 2004 and 2005 only, Mazda built the Mazdaspeed MX5 which featured an IHI turbocharger equipped variant of the BP-4W engine that produced 180 bhp at 6000 rpm with a front-mounted air-to-air intercooler. The MAZDASPEED could reach 60 mph in 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 126 mph. With its upgraded suspension and wider tires, the Mazdaspeed model could pull over 0.98 g in lateral grip. Other features included upgraded 6-speed transmission and clutch assemblies, upgraded drivetrain components (larger axles, radiator, etc), Racing Hart 17 in alloy wheels with custom designed Toyo performance tires, and special interior trim. Of the 5,428 Mazdaspeed MX-5s produced during model years 2004 and 2005, 4,000 were produced in 2004; the 2005 production run was shortened to only 1428, due to a fire at the production facility. Details and condition of my car. Very good Black Mica paintwork, straight and shines excellent - (but keep in mind that it is 7 years old and has a few small dings - see last few pics for full showing of imperfections) Convertible top and tonneau cover in great shape. Excellent interior, and stock "Racing Hart" wheels painted satin black (no curb rash). Less than 52000 original miles. Please note: While I have cloth seats installed in the car currently, I also have an excellent set of black leather w/red stitching seats that I can install in their place - Buyers choice if you want cloth (more grip) or leather (more luxury)! Runs and drives excellent. 2nd owner. Properly maintained - have all maintenance records and receipts since I purchased the car in 2007 with less than 6000 miles. All synthetic lubricants used in engine, transmission and rear end. Just replaced the following: 1. timing belt, water pump, and coolant flush (done right with all new cam/crank oil seals, gaskets, belts, tensioner and idler bearings, etc.) 2. oil change and pcv valve. 3. drivers side door lock mechanism (replaced due to power door lock motor wearing out). 4. high performance tires and custom alignment. Drive anywhere - needs nothing other than a new owner. Reluctantly selling this car to fund restoration on another car of mine. Mostly stock - never raced or auto-crossed. Mods only include the following (all stock parts are included in case future owner would like to revert to 100% stock.): 1. aux input jack added to stereo (looks and works like it was installed by the factory) 2. "Miataroadster" brand short shift kit and shift knob (transformed the shift quality) 3. BEGi throttle inlet elbow and Forge blow off valve 4. Autometer Boost gauge (matches stock gauges) 5. "Aston Martin style" stainless steel gas cap (made by BSP which is no longer in business -- Rare and desirable item) This vehicle is being sold "AS-IS". There are no warranties of any kind.
