Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1969 Mustang convertible. It is a 302 automatic. It runs and drives good. I believe it has the original engine and transmission and rear end. It has 130,000 miles on the odometer. The motor has a new Edelbrock cam, lifters, timing chain and gears, intake and carb. The motor also has a new water pump, fuel pump, oil pump, chrome oil pan, chrome headers, and new MAC dual exhaust. The motor had new valve seals installed. The motor runs great but it does smoke, it does not leak anywhere. The transmission shifts great but needs a rear seal. The rear end does not leak or make noise. The car has four wheel drum brakes, non-power. It has brand new 17” rims and tires. The car has brand new front and rear springs and shocks and new ball joints .It needs a front end alignment. The floors were replaced with a one piece floor pan, the inner rockers were replaced as were the front floor supports, the front fenders, both doors, both quarter panels and trunk extensions and the rear taillight panel. The car has no rust anywhere. The interior has a new carpet. The front seats are ripped but in good condition foam and spring wise. The dash has the usual cracks. The convertible top goes up and down without problems but it needs new canvas. Most of the chrome has been replaced but some needs to be replaced. The paint has some blemishes and could use to be repainted. It looks great from 10 feet. The lights, wipers and radio work fine, although the speakers are gone. The horn does not work. It has an original Mach 1 hood scoop with the turn signals. The turn signals and grill are missing .The windshield is cracked. I have owned the car for the past 5 years. I bought the car from a local older woman who drove it daily all year round. I have been fixing it and driving it. The car does need work and is definitely a car you can enjoy as you finish fixing it up. It is not a show car! It does need work! With minimal work it could be an excellent cruise night car. With the BUY IT NOW price I will include a complete 4 speed set up from a 69 Mach 1.( I have a flywheel,351 Windsor 11” clutch bellhousing, 4 speed toploader, driveshaft, cross member, clutch fork, Z Bar, linkages and the pedals for a manual drum brake car) I also have a brand new convertible top seal kit. I will also include any original used parts I have, exhaust manifolds, intake, 2 barrel carb and air cleaner etc.. If you have any questions feel free to ask, if you give me a number I can usually return calls in the afternoon, Eastern time. This is an auction to buy! Not to come look at the car. If you would like to see the car prior to bidding great, I always think that’s a good idea, if possible. Please DO NOT BID if you don’t have the money or don’t plan on buying! Please don’t waste my time or any other bidders. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and delivery of vehicle. I can assist with vehicle pickup.I can get all extra parts in trunk of car. Car is registered in Connecticut. Car is sold with a Bill of Sale ONLY, as this is all that is required in this state. Connecticut does not issue titles on vehicles over 25 years. I can provide a copy of the current registration if needed. A non-refundable $1000.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of end of auction. The winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hours of end of auction to arrange completion of auction.
