1972 Mercury Cougar Convertible NO RESERVE!!Less then 2,000 made, VERY RARE CAR!! Up for auction is a very rare 1972 mercury cougar convertible only 1,929 of these cars were made!!This car is a daily driver and is not a show car in its present condition. It is a 2 owner car and is a great candidate for a total restoration. Mechanically this car is in great shape runs and drives fine, you can pick it up and drive it home. The tires are new with less then 500 miles on them. About a year ago the gas tank was replaced with a new tank. The top, the gauges, all the lights and switches work just like they are supposed to. The a/c isn't working. The car needs a paint job and it has some rust, there are pictures of it. The rust isn't major where your going to have to change out quarter panels or anything like that. But it's there The tops has 2 rips in it one on each side pretty much the same spot. Pictures of that also. The dash pad has cracks in it and the armrest has cracks also.
