Vehicle Detail

Here is a car that I moved with 4 times. I don't want to move it a 5th time. I bought the car in '02. I have sanded the sunburnt silver paint down. I have put 2 coats of 2 k pimer on and blocksanded it with 180 wet. When the engine started coughing black smoke out of the tailpipe I parked the car inside my shop. I was hoping for the past 7 years to magically gain the know how to troubleshoot the fuel injection system or possibly understand the 100 page factory manual. The last 2 years were spent thinking 'i am gonna put a 440 or 360 in it one day'. I realize that my hopes crashed against the rock of laziness. The car was running and driving good before the gremlin got to it. The interior is good- no rips or stains in the seats or the plush carpeting. The headliner and the pillar covers are faded and need to be recovered. The primer would need one more pass of blocksanding. The body is straight and accident free. All glass is good. The driver's side window is off the track, but all motors work. The dash and the passenger doorpanel have a crack in them. All 4 factory mags are good condition without any curb rash. The front marker lights and the license plate frame are in the trunk. I removed them prior to painting. These cars are almost obsolete. They never got any respect when there were a lot of them on the road. The rarity and the 80's razor styling that was good enough for Cadillac to steal, make this a perfect candidate for a streetrod. All drive line parts are easily available. All hard to find body and trim parts are with the car and are good. I put a battery in the car and it still turns over and almost wants to start. I would hate to have to send this car to the crusher although it might be more profitable to do that and sell some hard to find parts off of it.
