Vehicle Detail
Condition 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera LS Sedan 4-Door 2.5L The condition of this vehicle is amazing. There are no dents, some small cosmetic marks and very little rust. This vehicle is in amazing condition for being 25 years old! I am the second owner of the vehicle, the first being my family friend. She was the original buyer of the vehicle and I still have the original invoices. This vehicle has been in a smoke-free environment and has been garage kept for most of its life so far. There is minimal rust on the body exterior and there is a spare -tire in the trunk but I believe it is flat or needs air. All miles are original miles, and the previous owner barely drove the vehicle. To my best knowledge the previous owner never had an accident, which leaves this vehicle accident free! The muffler was replaced 2 years ago, along with 2 new tires. Oil change was performed less than 50 miles ago and has been consistently changed every 6 months. The vehicle drives great, all locks and windows work. The vehicle accelerates fine and cruise control works. When I received the vehicle I upgraded the sound system, and added a head unit. The new speakers are crisp and clean and head unit has the possibility to charge and play from an iPod, iPhone or any USB device. Below are the details of these extra added features. Payment will be in the form of cash. Winning bidder must confirm their winning bid with a refundable $100 PayPal deposit due within 24hours of auction completion. Winning bidder will have 7 days from the end of the auction to pay the remainder of the purchase price in cash and pick up the vehicle. After this period, the buyer will be charged $20 a day storage fee if the vehicle is not picked up. If you would like to come see the vehicle it is located in Stony Brook NY, 11790. Just send me a private message. There is no reserve for the vehicle and will go to the highest bidder. The car will be sold in “as is” condition and the buyer assumes all responsibilities on the purchase of the vehicle. About the Vehicle 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera LS Sedan 4-Door 2.5L The Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera is a mid-size vehicle that was sold from 1982 through 1996 by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. It shared the front-wheel drive A platform with the very similar Buick Century, Pontiac 6000 and Chevrolet Celebrity; both Olds and Chevy considered using the Celebrity name, which had originally used by Oldsmobile in the 1960s. Available body styles included a 2-door coupe, 4-door sedan, and the Cutlass Ciera Cruiser station wagon. The Cutlass Ciera shared the Cutlass nameplate with the smaller Cutlass Calais and the larger Cutlass Supreme. It shared the same engines and certain interior features with one of its twins: the Buick Century. During its run, the Cutlass Ciera was Oldsmobile's best-selling model. The vehicle enjoyed many factory specialty models including Holiday coupe, GT, pace vehicle, and International models, the latter of which had a stock body kit. It consistently ranked among the highest rated vehicles by J.D. Power and Associates; it was ranked the "Best in Price Class" on July 30, 1992 and the "Top-Ranked American-Made Vehicle" on May 28, 1992. It was also named "Safe Vehicle of the Year" by Prevention Magazine on March 6, 1992.This generation was exported to certain countries in Asia like Iraq where it was a major success. For 1988, the Cutlass Ciera received composite headlamps (Some late 1987 models had composite headlamps as well) and introduced the new International Series models, and was also the final year for the Brougham. Pioneer TS-A6963R 6-Inch X 9-Inch, 270-Watt 3-Way Speakers 6-by-9-inch, three-way speakers with 270 watts maximum power handling (40 watts nominal) Woofers feature vehiclebon graphite IMPP interlaced aramid/basalt fiber cone with rubber-coated cloth surround 2-1/4-inch paper cone midrange, 3/8-inch PET film dome tweeter Heat-resistant polyester-imide resin voice coil wire for improved power handling 31 Hz to 37 kHz frequency response with 91 dB sensitivity · Pioneer's TS-A6963R 6-by-9-inch three-ways now feature upgraded power handling of 270 watts max. (40 watts nominal). And this year, the A-Series speaker line feature something they've inherited from the D-Series speakers, a basalt cone. Pioneer continues to set an example with next-generation technology for improved sound: the tweeter, magnets, surrounds, the voice coil wire, the basket and more are all high-performance components that make up a great speaker. · Pioneer's A-Series Speakers o Pioneer A-series speakers outperform factory speakers on nearly every level. Packing a powerful punch, A-Series speakers are equipped with up to three independent tweeters with reinforced woofers, so every beat is heard and felt. Featuring a bigger, better cone than most OEM speakers, the A-series boasts serious output and booming bass. Extra-sensitive tweeters play at higher frequencies and are capable of handling stronger audio signals, resulting in vocals that are crisp and clear, even when you crank the volume. · Features o Vehiclebon Graphite IMPP Interlaced Aramid/Basalt Fiber Cone One of Pioneer's major speaker breakthroughs was IMPP (Injection-Molded Polypropylene), which allowed cones to be lighter and more rigid. Pioneer then added long stands of Aramid fibers into the mix, for extra strength. Now, they've gone even further with the TS-A6963Rs, adding basalt and vehiclebon graphite interlaced with long aramid fibers to provide strength and rigidity that powerful bass sound requires. High-density compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power well and transfers sound quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound with midrange depth that conventional IMPP cones cannot match, and the durability to stand up to the high volume levels, humidity, and temperature extremes that thrash other speakers. o Large Diaphragm Tweeter The newly developed tweeter disperses sound more widely with superior control, providing listeners with the best sound under all conditions, regardless of listening position or vehicle. And the 1" mounting depth achieves more flexible installation. o Heat Resistant Polyester-Imide Resin Voice Coil Wire Creating mechanical energy is hot work, especially at high volume levels. And as we all know, heat can cause distortion. That's why the TS-A6963R uses a heat-resistant polyester-imide resin voice coil wire. It allows the voice coil to handle more heat, improving input power handling as well as reliability. So go ahead. Turn it up. o Power Handling The TS-A6963R now handles a full 270 watts max. power (40 watts)
