Extensive service documentation with records back to 1975. This is an excellent driving GTV 2000. Photos and Videos Body, Trim and Paint Having always resided in California, the body of this GTV 2000 remains in very good original condition. The underside of the car is in very good structural condition with one spot of rust showing in the drivers floor pan. The floors, rockers and trunk bottom are original. All four original jack points are present and solid. There is some minor rust in the driver's C pillar, driver door and passenger rocker panel. Doors shut well and gaps are good. Hood and trunk lid fit is good. All panel gaps are very good. The lower left section of the rear panel, below the bumper, is showing some damage due to the prior owner backing over a hidden piece of concrete. This incident also caused a spot of buckling at the right rear wheel arch. All trim parts are in fair to good original condition. All brightwork and glass is in good condition. Front and rear light lenses are appear to be originals with no cracks. All weatherstripping is present and in good condition. The bumpers and grill are in good condition. Only one small section of the rear bumper shows some dimpling. The car is currently wearing an older repaint in classic Alfa Red. The original color was Beige (color code AR821). The paint still shines up well and overall is in good driver condition. There are some paint blemishes, with the most noticeable being some cracking at front section of roof, small area of paint blisters at lower front corner of driver door and paint scrape at lower right edge of rear panel. Overall the paint still shows fairly well. Interior The interior overall is in good original condition with some seam separation showing on the driver seat bottom. he attractive and rare flying buttress front seats are from a 1969 GTV.The gauges and switches on the face of the dash are all originals and in very good condition. The carpet is in good condition. The door panels have not been cut up with speaker installations as is so commonly seen. The original wood rimmed steering wheel and shift knob are still present. Door knobs, handles and window cranks are all present. Original headliner is in very good condition. Electricals Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, side markers, brake lights, license plate light, hazard light switch, gauge lights, dash warning lights, horn, and wipers are functional. The high beam contact is not working, nor do the rear defroster and heater fan. The starter and alternator are functioning properly. Tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge are functional. The speedometer and tachometer are functioning. Odometer shows 94,445 miles, which is actually 194,445 documented miles. Engine and Transmission The engine is the original 2000cc and is in excellent running condition with an estimated 15,000 miles driven, since it's documented rebuild. The engine starts easily, is free revving and idles and accelerates smoothly with excellent power. There is no smoking on startup or during hard acceleration. Definitely one of the most powerful GTV 2000 engines we've experienced. The correct SPICA fuel injection system is still present with a Wes Ingram SPICA pump installed. The correct exhaust system is installed and is in good condition. The following engine related repairs are documented (note there is much more than listed below): 6/25/12 - Bleed clutch hydraulics 6/01/12 (200 miles ago) - New clutch kit installed, new exhaust hangar bushings 12/15/04 (@82,285 miles) - New Wes Ingram SPICA pump 1/19/04 (@80,765 miles) - New rear fuel filter 11/11/03 - New front and rear exhaust installed 6/15/03 (@78,932 miles) - Bottom end engine rebuild and transmission rebuild 12/27/02 (@78,338 miles) - Valve job, new motor mounts The original 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding in any gear. The following transmission related repairs are documented: 6/01/12 - Front and rear trans seals, new 2nd and 3rd synchro rings, 1st and 4th replaced with good used rings, good used 2nd-3rd slider and new clutch slave cylinder Suspension, Wheels, Tires and Brakes The suspension is in good condition with no unusual noises and the steering is smooth. The following suspension related recent repair is documented: 11/22/10 - New U-joints, center support, bearing, front bushing, flex joint 1/7/03 - Replaced rear axle Attractive 15" Panasport wheels are installed and are in excellent condition. The original spare is present in the trunk. All four Bridgestone Potenza 195/65R15 radial tires are only two years old and are in excellent condition. The brakes are functioning very well with records of new front and rear brake pads installed on 10/29/10. Front calipers were rebuilt at 77,404 miles. The emergency brake is correctly adjusted and holds tight.
